Maulana Ahmed Suleman Khatani was born in Durban, South Africa. He completed his Hifz ul Quraan at an early age. He then enrolled into Madrasah Arabia Islamia, Azaadville, South Africa where he completed his Aalim Faadhil course in 1993.

Maulana studied under many great scholars like Sheikhul Hadith Hadhrat Maulana Fazlur Rahman Azmi Saheb (DB) and Hadhrat Maulana Abdul Hamid Ishaq Saheb (DB).
